Meet Carol and Ken
Originally from Argentina and Malaysia, Carol and Ken met at university in the USA, before settling in Sydney and establishing Marra + Yeh in 2005.
Studying at a top ten US university plus our international experience equip us not only with design skills but strategic thinking, building science, technical and construction knowledge, sustainability expertise as well as the ability to manage projects from start to finish. We bring this suite of skills and expertise to the advantage of every client.
Our diverse lived experiences and cultural backgrounds inform our approach to architecture, and how we engage with our clients and their communities.
Going beyond the architect’s traditional role, we address some of the most pressing challenges of our age, including sustainable homes and housing, climate change and design for Country.
Your project may have complex and challenging problems -we are here to guide you, collaborate to find solutions and create places that meet your challenges.
Through our sophisticated and holistic approach, we bring clarity to complexity and uncover hidden possibilities.
Whether responding to your business needs or creating a new home, we go beyond the traditional role of architects and partner with you to help you succeed.
We deliver sustainable and regenerative projects, reducing our collective environmental impact, and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
We provide design advisory expertise, tapping into our experience in both the private and government sectors, and we masterplan new developments to ensure places and buildings respond to an uncertain future.
Based in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, we work on urban, regional and remote area projects throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
“Thanks for the good and simple design…there are no redundancies, and we can use this model of housing for our workers repeatedly, giving them a good living and healthy environment”
